"Freely you have received, freely give".
It is our desire that the people of our town and the area of the Ards Peninsula will know that God cares about every detail of their life. As Christians we not only want to talk about His great love but want to show it in our lives and our actions. (1 John 3 v 16-18)
A group of Christians attending Kiltonga Christian Centre, wanted to respond to the ongoing need within our community, of people finding it difficult to make ends meet in the current financial climate.
Items of non perishable food and toiletries are gathered at a collection point at the Centre's reception area seven days a week and are distributed as the needs are identified.
Many other people who currently use the Centre for squash, ballet etc, have also kindly donated goods and clothing to the Storehouse, which is given out free of charge to those in need.
Volunteers in the Centre are able to make up emergency food boxes for distribution all across the area of the Ards peninsula and North Down.
Referrals are currently received from social services, Quayside Project, Womans Aid, The Simon Community and personal contacts made by members of the Church family.
N.B.. the food parcels are provided for a set period of time, to allow the individuals to get back on their feet again.
* To deal with all such referrals and requests in an entirely private and confidential manner.
*To assist people in need regardless of race or religion.
* To help those in our community and let them know that someone cares at a time when they feel at their lowest and least able to help themselves.
